Am I paying too much for my Internet connection?
Like with cell phone plans, it pays to check for competitive Internet pricing on a regular basis. At Dependable Computer Guys, one of our audit steps with new clients is to make sure the price that is being paid is competitive. We also verify that they are paying for the right amount of bandwidth. Many times we find that high speeds are being offered for their area at prices that are less than is currently being paid.
Some clients hesitate because they are concerned that changing ISPs might be disruptive to their business. Keep in mind that in many cases, finding competitive pricing and challenging your existing provider to match or beat it works very well. When it's apparent that changing providers is the best course, DCG deploys the new circuit in parallel with your old service in order to keep downtime to zero!
